Due to the recent sharp rise in fuel costs, self-employed drivers operating through Delta are introducing a temporary fuel surcharge of 20p, applied to the first mile of each journey.

This means passengers will see a small 20p increase per trip while the surcharge remains in place.

The decision has been made in response to continued increases in fuel prices, which are significantly impacting the day-to-day operating costs faced by drivers. As independent operators, many drivers are experiencing substantial pressure from rising fuel expenses, making this temporary measure necessary to help offset costs and maintain service levels across the network.

Delta understands that any fare increase can affect customers and has worked to ensure the adjustment is kept to an absolute minimum. The surcharge will apply only once per journey and is strictly temporary.

The surcharge will be removed as soon as fuel prices return to more normal and sustainable levels.
